This 1821 British Light Cavalry Sword has a blade forged from EN45 high carbon steel; the hilt is crafted from steel and the wooden grip is overlaid in black leather and finished with inlaid twisted steel wire. The black felt tab fitted atop the guard at the base of the blade can be removed. The scabbard with hanging rings are of steel.

    This sword is definitely made for swinging at targets from on top of a horse, a downward swing is practical, but it’s forward heavy, not made for sword fighting. Not very sharp. Looks pretty impressive
