The Princess Stiletto is an elegant weapon of self-defense for the Renaissance nobility – it has a triangular blade of high carbon steel and an elaborately formed hilt of antiqued brass. The sheath is stitched leather with a belt loop and retaining strap. Though fashionable in form and easily worn, a Stiletto such as this is deceptively deadly; the triangular blade is purpose-designed to easily pass through thick layers of clothing and fabric and inflicting several deep inches of wound on its target. Such wounds are easily fatal and difficult to treat, particularly in the Renaissance when the Stiletto enjoyed its height of popularity.

This item is not constructed to the battle-ready standard of a sword or large dagger, but it is constructed solidly enough to be used within the parameters expected of a stiletto. The item uses a short tang due to the elaborate hilt construction instead of a standard tang that extends to the pommel. It is sturdy enough to be used strictly for piercing or thrusting. It should not be used to bang against hard objects or to be pulled and torqued when within a target.

Stout blade but the hilt is noticeably crooked. Fits nicely in the thick, if low quality leather sheath.
