Perfect for the top of a boot or the back of a gun belt, this knife is easy to carry. The guard is nickel silver and the grip is hardwood polished to a nice luster. The blade is high carbon steel that is well-tempered and will take a razor edge. Comes with period scabbard.

Attractive Simplicity For the price this is a very nice little bowie like knife, it’s got a decent weight to it and was bigger in the hand than I thought it would be. While I have nothing bad to say about it the few things I noticed are the scabbard and the handle.

When the blade is placed within the scabbard it is not centered, that is to say the blade sticks out slightly on one side, I believe this could be due to the fact that it is a boot knife, and that the face that rests on the leg should be flat, if so then it is just a minor problem only with the aesthetics.

The issue I have with the handle is actually more the question of construction

I would very much like to know how far the tang goes within the handle, if the tang goes all the way through the wood or if it goes only as far as the pin, I would very much like an answer to as it feels light and hollow.

While I doubt i’d be using this for more than an accessory in my outfit It would be a shame to have it break down on me.
