Deep of root, immovable and ancient witness to innumerable seasons, this Katana channels the Oak in its unifying theme and like its inspiration is both earthy and simple, yet dignified in its attention to blade finish and the tradition of carefully refining the blade of a katana. A suitable match for an unyielding warrior; a veteran of numerous seasons.

This limited run Oak Katana from Dynasty Forge imparts their Daimyo collector grade hand polish to its clay-tempered 1095 high carbon steel blade. The vibrant finish on this sword is the culmination of over forty hours of hand polishing to create a beautiful finish coupled with a keenly sharp edge. Particular attention was paid to the differentially-tempered blade to imbue its natural Hadori hamon with a dynamic and spirited finish.

The tsuba is iron and its adjoining seppa and habaki are brass. The wood grip has panels of genuine rayskin and is bound-over with knotted black tsuka ito cord. Menuki of antiqued brass are entwined within the silken cords. The fuchi and kashira hilt components are of iron to match to tsuba. The saya scabbard is carved to fit from wood and is finished with a glossy black lacquer and a black sageo cord. Included is a cloth sword bag.

Please Note: It is common for the lacquer finish of the scabbards to have minor cosmetic blemishing. Also, the Menuki may not match what is pictured as it is common for the manufacturer to use different menuki for different production runs. It is also common for the sword to be configured for a single bamboo mekugi peg to be used instead of two.
