Looked good at first but… I got this sword and first time I held it in my hands I was quite satisfied. Fitting looks good, no gap between crossguard and the blade. The sword could be slightly lighter but it moves around quite easily. When it came to cutting test, this sword is just a beast. It cuts very well and it’s pretty much effortless. One negative aspect is that I have huge hands and I ended up sometime grabbing the pommel for more leverage. If you have regular size hands or smaller you should be fine. Then came the problems. I took a swing at a bigger seized water bottle and the pommel rotated 90 degrees in my hands. I was quite confused because the pommel is advertised as peened. It turns out that the pommel is threaded and it does not take much for it to become loose. I did a lot of water bottle cutting, some newspaper roll cutting and it performed well with no issues except for the pommel. Then the real problems came. I was practicing cuts in the air hitting no target. I took one, brought the sword quickly toward me and out of nowhere it shattered. Luckily there was nobody near me. The tang broke right where the blade begins. Hopefully it’s just a bad sample and not every swords of this type that are like that. I did ran an abusive testing on the sword. It’s just a shame that it brokes because it was such a fun sword to use.

    Pros

    + Powerful cutting sword
    + Handles well
+ No gaps between the crossguard and the blade
    + Leather wrapping feels good
+ Scabbard hold the blade tightly

    Cons

    – Pommel is threaded
    – Grip can be too short if you have big hands ( not really a con)
    – Sword shattered in my hands while doing a cutting practice

The scabbard is very good, too. For me, is the number one of my colection.
