The guard and pommel are solid steel, while the large grip is hard wood with a tight leather wrap. The unsharpened blade is made of well tempered Chrome-Vanadium steel with a hardness of 50HRC and is peened at the pommel for durability. A high-quality Scottish Claymore. Mine arrived a few days ago, sharpened & in excellent condition. It’s a weighty sword, but the balance, being just 4 inches, gives you a lot of control, & it feels good in the hand. I haven’t done extensive cutting yet, but the edge put on by KOA works just fine, & it slices plastic bottles, heavy cardboard, and even two- inch thick tree limbs without much of a fuss. The craftsmanship of this weapon is beautiful & the twisted wooden grip is a nice touch. So, if you are looking for a high-quality Claymore, & don’t mind paying more money, then I have to recommend the DELTIN. This Claymore is worth every penny!

Just received it and it’s awesome. Was looking to buy a Claymore for a long time and finally decided to go with the Del Tin version. Received it today and really really happy with it! Great quality and lovely finish. Nicely sharpened too, just did some thick cardboard cutting with it and was surprised how nicely it felt. Agree with the review below, that even though it’s a weighty sword the balance feels really good.
