The Nepal Police Jungle Khukuri differs from the military version by having a broader-tipped blade. It is crafted with 5160 high carbon steel that has been differentially hardened. The edges are hard and have a hardness of 58-60 HRC. The body of the blade is 45-46 HRC and the spine is 22-25 HRC.

The grip is of carved rosewood and the bolster and pommel cap are of brass. The crossed Kukri emblem of the Police Force is prominent on the pommel cap. The scabbard is of pinewood and constructed in the traditional method with Laha tree gum glues. It is covered with a protective layer of black leather and a brass chape.

The scabbard has an integrated belt loop and two internal compartments for the traditional twin Khukuri companion knives; the utility knife (karda) and the Khukuri sharpening tool (chakmak). These two tools are constructed of high carbon steel and rosewood.

The Kukri knife is ideal for the jungle for it can clear through brush easily due to its powerful, hatchet-like strikes. The Khukuri is not only a fighting knife, but doubles as a capable exploration and camp tool.

Nepal Police Jungle Khukuri – 8” Blade This thing is a beast! It’s got a big ol’ thick blade. It’s a hefty sob and it weighs just as much as my full size m1911, which it’s self pretty hefty. You won’t be disappointed with this thing. It’s a good quality knife that’s for sure.

I purchased this as a gift for my friend in law enforcement. He absolutely loves it! Now I need one for my collection!
