This set of leather Samurai armor is handcrafted in Canada.
It has a 2-part torso of 9-10 oz leather lamellar plates that are sewn together with knotted leather ties and antique-finished brass rivets. The two halves are held together with four leather buckles with accompanying straps that can be adjusted to size.
The Helm is of crafted of 9-10 oz leather. The helmet dome is made from hardened black leather. The leather plates of the helm are held together with brass rivets and leather ties that are sewn and knotted into place. The steel accents are of 20 gauge stainless steel. The mask is snapped into place with brass buttons and can be removed. Its moustache is of horsehair.
The pauldrons are made from 9-10 oz leather lamellar plates that are sewn and knotted into place with leather ties. It is attached to the shoulders of the torso with a leather tie. The leather straps and antiqued brass buckles are riveted into place and are used to keep the armor affixed to the upper arm.
The bracers are crafted from 5-6 oz leather. It is made by a large leather base bracer with sectional leather armor riveted and tied onto its base bracer leather. It is attached to the forearm with leather ties and a palm strap helps keep it attached to the hand.
The greaves are crafted from 5-6 oz leather. It is made by a large leather base greave with sectional leather armor riveted and tied onto its base bracer leather. It is attached to the leg with a series of leather straps and antiqued brass buckles.
This is a full set of this type of armor – its major components can be purchased individually if desired.
