This sword has a simple guard and floral pommel; a design that hearkens to the High Medieval Period; when the culture of the Knights of Western Europe was richly infused with Chivalric notions and Arthurian inspiration.

Handcrafted in the Czech Republic by Wulflund, this sword has a thick blade and robust construction to enable it to withstand the pounding of stage and sport combat. The edges are are at least 2 mm thick and the blade is crafted from 14260 CSN high carbon steel that was tempered to a 50-52 HRC hardness.

The pommel and crossguard are steel and are hand-forged. The grip is wrapped with leather. Both the pommel and crossguard were welded to the guard to securely affix the hilt furniture in place. The tang was also given a large peen over the pommel. Altogether these measures have made a sword that is quite robust in the hilt and unlikely to shift with use.

The tapered blade profile and thick pommel give the sword a good balance and lend it a feeling of dexterous agility for a thick-bladed stage and sport combat weapon.

Please Note: The length of this handcrafted sword and its dimensions can vary. The grip color and the type of leather grip wrap used on this sword can vary - grip colors can vary from brown to black. There may also be variations in hilt style or grip riser placement.

A scabbard is available separately for this sword. A picture link to it is to under the sword photos in the ''also available'' section.
