This pendant of antiqued bronze cast in a traditional twisted torc has twin Viking longship Dragon prow heads of pewter. The torc signifies a person of fame or status and this one is named in homage of Egill Skallagrimsson - the Warrior and Poet who composed the Icelandic Egill’s Saga. So great was his skill in saga-smithing that Egill famously composed a poem in homage to King Eric Bloodaxe while imprisoned by him. So moved was Eric by the poem that he granted Egill his freedom despite Egill having killed the King’s son in the past during Egill’s feuds and duels with the retainers of Queen Gunnhild. Crafted by Alchemy Gothic in the UK from bronze and lead-free pewter. Included is a cord for wear. 1 1/2'' x 1 1/2'' What happened to the reviews? |
