With a level of stylistic embellishment befitting a Jarl, this Viking Sword has an elaborately detailed and well-cast guard and pommel of bronze. The pommel is actually a two-piece pommel which is a more accurate pommel construction style than is typically seen on most reproductions. The blade tang is anchored into base of the pommel and the pommel was then completed by dual-riveted a pommel cap onto this base. This was typical of many Viking swords but it is a detail omitted in most reproductions to simplify production. A tightly bound wrap of quality leather completes the hilt.

The blade is forged from damascus steel and its ripple-like patterning was created when differing steel types were pounded and melded into the same blade by a skilled swordsmith. Many original Viking swords were created by pattern-welding the blades, which is similar to damascus in that it mixed differing steels to create a single blade and likewise created vibrant patterning on the blade.

The sword is matched with a finely detailed scabbard of wood which was bound in leather and completed with finely-cast bronze fittings to match and complement the hilt. A suspension loop of bronze allows it to be fitted onto a sword belt or baldric.
