Ever vigilant at twilight and into the evening, with piercing eyes able to see through the gloam and pitch of night, the Owl has long been associated with perception, erudition and wisdom. Perhaps this is why the Owl was often associated with Athena and the city of Athens made the owl their patron bird and mascot in allegiance to the Goddess. Athenian Tetradrachm silver coins often featured the Owl on the reverse of the coin. This Owl Pendant is made from antiqued, lead-free pewter and features two inset red crystals to create the striking eyes of the owl. A chain and clasp are included. 1 7/8'' x 7/8'' What happened to the reviews? |
