typical Hanwei excellent quality. This sword feels very nice and wonderfully balanced. I like that they left some hammer marks since it gives it that old look. I really like it a lot. I like it so much that I am willing to over look that it is a butter knife with a point. The hanwei claymore was dull but not this dull.
In my opinion there is no edge…there is no bevel. I went slow through the whole process with a file to bring me some sore of edge. from there I used the worksharp coarse belts. I only had two and could of used more. So I went through 8 220 belts.
Now I have it to where I have something to work with on a water stone I use for swords. Once I get that edge pulled together I can use a fine polishing belt with the work sharp.
It is a shame all this work has to go into getting this to cut anything. If you are looking to a reenactment sword this will work great. It is a tough one. If you are looking for something to cut bottles or mats with. Be prepared to put some work into it.

Good quality for the price! I found the Hanwei Agincourt Sword (SH2371) to be very good quality for the low price (just under $200.00 USD including shipping). The blade came poorly sharpened, the leather wrap is not great, and the sword feels heavier than higher quality swords. But the blade bends (showing that it was adequately tempered unlike some low price swords), and feels like it could take a beating. Overall, it looks beautiful for the low price, and is good for a more authentic wall hanger or for light cutting.

Excellent Sword I bought this sword 4 years ago for use at renaissance fairs. This is a nice blade. Spring steel, perfectly polished and extremely sharp! It will shave hair off your arm with no pain. It has held an edge for years with minimal care. Highly recommend!
