The neighboring Kouga and Iga clans of feudal Japan were bitter enemies for centuries and their warring Ninja families have been immortalized in Japanese literature.
The Kouga features a Tsuka with a battle wrap over black rayskin and Kouga Mon Menuki. The blackened iron Tsuba features the Kouga Mon and pierced Kanji, a theme repeated on the Fuchi/Kashira. The Kanji and Mon are also employed on the blackened fittings of the spiked Saya. The Kouga features a forged high carbon blade, differentially quenched to an edge hardness of 60HRc.
Essential tool for the Ninjutsu practitioner.

First Blade This is my first blade. Wanted to start off small as I’m just getting in to swords and eventually want to get a Katana. I must say I’m impressed with the workmanship of this Ninja-to…granted I have nothing else to compare it too but I do know when something is well made and when something is a piece of crap. The Tsuka is tight and the blade looks really nice especially the hamon. While it may not be the prettiest Ninja-to out there, its black and stealthy just like a Ninja would want and for the price a fine sword for close quarters. The ONLY negative thing I can say is that there was a teeny tiny scuff (about 1/16th in size) on the Tsuba where the round symbol is as you can see a little shiney metal. Not worth removing a star for that as it can easily be fixed.

Solid Sword It is the first Battle Ready sword i have gotten. The weapon comes well sharpened and it is exactly as advertised. It is heavier than i originally expected but it is to be expected from a true sword. The blade is well connected, no wobbles or loose pieces. It feels very solid in hand and is easy to maneuver. The scabbard is also a very solid piece of work, very nice finish and detail, the metal end on the bottom adds weight but it would work well as a club (lol). I am yet to put it to any tests, however it feels solid enough to survive it. Over all, it is something i would recommend. Cheers.

Perfect for confined spaces. Sword has a nicely detailed saya featuring an impact point on the bottom, fits nicely as well, the Tsuka has some cool Menuki on it, and has a tight fitting same, everything feels solid and fits nicely into the hand, the Menuki even corresponds with where my finger tips rest on the Tsuka when swinging the blade. Blade Finish is nice featuring a pretty Hamon line, my only complaint is along the blades back spine there are some scuffs in the finish which i can plainly see when in the light not a big deal but it is unpleasant to see, Blade is almost perfectly balanced far better than my Cold Steel, Blade edge out of box is modestly sharp not razor, overall a Solid Ninja To with quality fittings definitely worth the money.

It’s the Porsche of ninja swords! It’s sharp, durable, well balanced, and practical! 5 out of 5 for this sword!
