Out of stock

Crafted by Michael Tinker Pearce, this custom arming sword has a blade of 5160 high carbon steel with a lenticular cross section and a weight-reducing fuller in the thicker base of the blade. The recurved crossguard and tea-cozy pommel are of mild steel and the grip is poplar wood with a linen thread binding and a tan leather overwrap.

The sword is paired with a wood-core scabbard overlaid in brown leather.

Despite its light weight this sword is not at all whippy, and feels quite rigid in handling. Very quick and agile in the hand. This sword could date anywhere from the late 11th- Early 13th Century – Michael Tinker Pearce
