The wickedly curved Arakh sword of Khal Drogo has been recreated from the actual prop used on HBO’s ‘’Game of Thrones’’ series; as the officially licensed Arakh of Khal Drogo, it is limited to a worldwide production of 2500.

The Arakh has an unsharpened blade of high carbon steel that has been darkened with a black oxide finish fitted into a long grip of elaborately carved wood that has been given an ebony black finish. The base of the blade is decorated with a pair of steel crosses and a brass diamond on both sides - the pommel is fitted with a round brass insert on both sides. The sword is marked with its production number on the blade.

The sword comes with a wooden plaque screened with dueling horses - it comes with mounting hardware that allows this ominous Arakh to be prominently displayed on a wall. It also comes with a certificate of authenticity.

The black Arakh of Khal Drogo is both a large and embellished Arakh - a fitting companion for a successful Khal. The fearsome weapon is worthy of a horse lord who commands respect and tribute from the wise - and the wealth and lives of the foolish.

The curved Arakh is a apt weapon for the nomadic khalasars of the Dothraki. It is a weapon that is unique, deadly cruel, and it that looks as fierce as the wild people who wield it; who point it in the direction of civilization before spitting disdain upon the ashen ground.

The scythe-like blade could give a disturbingly deep slash in a pass from a mounted warrior and its deeply curved point can bypass a shield rim for a penetrating strike. A skilled warrior could potentially use the curved tip to ‘’hook’’ into the seam of the overlapping plates in an opponent’s armor and then use the Arakh as a lever to drag him off his feet or to topple him from his horse. It is easy to imagine a Dothraki nomad using such a technique from the back of his hoof-pounding warhorse; using all its momentum to great effect as he passes the foe to hook and drag him down into the earth of the Dothraki Sea; leaving him and his companions fallen; deep in the dust clouds kicked up the Dothraki horsemen.
