This version of the Garth Viking Sword has a blade that is moderately sharp - unlike the standard stage combat version, this version has a thinner blade with an edge and is intended for cutting use. It is a hand-forged sword from the Czech Republic and has a well-tempered blade of 14260 CSN high carbon steel. The blade has been imbued with a hardness of 50-52 HRC. The pommel and guard are forged from steel and have been welded to the thick tang. Additionally, the tang was given a large peen to the pommel. This combination of welding and peening has given the hilt a very robust construction. The grip is wrapped over in supple leather. The pommel and crossguard have been left rough-polished to retain the hand-forged character of its hilt. Please Note: This sword is a handcrafted item and it can vary slightly in appearance.
