The single-hand Lionheart Sword is typical of the cruciform-hilt style of the crusading knights of Europe in the 12th and 13th centuries. The wheel pommel and slightly turned-down bow-tie guard make this a very attractive sword indeed!

Features a sharpened carbon steel blade, solid steel guard and pommel and a leather wrapped wood grip. Inclued a wood scabbard with leather wrap.

This is a solidly built sword, very usable but this particular sword has some cons, it seats off centered in the scabbard, the handle is too small, it does not fill the collars on the guard and pommel, the pommel is off center as well and had to be forced on making it slightly bent , the blade is excellent. These slight con’s were enough to make me buy another one I found pretty inexpensive, I do like the lionhearts looks and build, so I now have two, the new one is spot on. The problems with this sword is not the fault of KOA, even when inspected these faults would not be detected. I have 3 other swords from KOA, which are excellent, I’m sure I could return this sword but I’m keeping it, I just bought the legacy Henry V from KOA, no hard feelings from me.

I actually have 6 hanwei swords this is the only one I have complaint with, but it’s good enough to keep.
