This Italian Dueling Saber is an eminently swift and agile saber well suited for dueling and swordplay. Its hilt is quite protective of the hand and the easy balance and light weight give its wielder many possibilities. The blade is 1055 high carbon steel which is embellished with filigree etching on both sides. The bottom half of the blade is unsharpened and the top half has a sharpened edge.

The elaborately formed guard and grip plate are steel and the grip is imitation rayskin with inlaid bands of braided wire. The sword comes with a sheath of durable leather with a steel chape and locket. Two hanging rings complete the scabbard and these can be used to attach the sword to hangers to sling it from a sword belt. The also available section on this page links to sword hangers which can be used for this purchased and these are sold separately.

It’s nice looking, durable, and seems well made. Light as a feather and dexterous. Not an amazing cutter, but it’s a dueling sabre and not designed to make large deep cuts. Only the forward 15″ or so of the blade is sharpened and the left is left blunt. My only real complaint is the handle. the handle seems to be made out of roughly stippled plastic and really bothers and starts to hurt the hand after very minimal use. Bought it mostly for the weight and I can’t complain on that front. If you’re looking for a really light sabre then this will do nicely.

Like the previous reviewer said, the weight on this narrow saber is wonderful for dueling, not in real life we hope, as well as practicing hand and eye coordination and speed. It’s fun because how fast you can manuver this bad boy. It can cut, or rather slice open light targets, so you can use it on light, hanging targets for practice. So, imho, this is one of the best sabers CS makes. Do note this saber is pretty much dull for us causuals trying to get into swords without being made fun of, so be prepared to sharpen it to your own liking.
