This Bollock Dagger is a no-nonsense design and well-suited for the medieval soldiers campaign kit. Even though the dagger is lightly embellished with brass grip studs this bit of accoutrement also serves to maintain a sure grip on the dagger. Tod has designed this dagger from several period sources to create a composite design which would have fit neatly into the mid 14th to late 15th century.

The blade is high carbon steel with a single edge and a reinforced and substantially thick spine which runs for slightly more than half the blade length before transitioning into a false edge. This design creates a rigid blade with a robust and solid base whilst the false edge thins the blade to ensure it has a flattened profile to which can more easily puncture into mail and in-between the small spaces in an armored defense; this thin profile also serves to minimize drag in a pierce or cut.

The hilt is skillfully carved from wood and festooned with brass studs; the blade is mounted into the hilt with a peen on its end over a brass rosette washer. The dagger comes with a dual-layered sheath of vegetable tanned leather complete with belt ties and a brass chape.

Please Note: The false edge will be sharpened by default if optional sharpening is purchased unless indicated otherwise in the ”Special Instructions” text box upon checkout.
