The Falcata Fighter is a fearsome chopper with a robust blade of 1095 high carbon steel tempered to a hardness of 59 HRC. The blade, its thick tang and knuckle-duster guard are all crafted from a single billet of steel. The grip is formed from two haves of black linen micarta dual-riveted to the tang with brass. The sword comes with a stitched leather sheath with a belt loop.

This modern Falcata with its wide chopping end and thick spine has more than enough heft to hack and chop with wanton abandon. The blade terminates in a sharp and rigid tip that will lose little force in the thrust, giving the sword an impressive amount of puncturing power. The knuckle guard not only guards the hand, but its sharply angular edges act as an imposing knuckle-duster if needed. The angled pommel also facilitates a supremely bruising pommel strike. Although the sword has a thick blade it is not so long as to feel overly cumbersome to a person of average strength.

Please Note: It is common for this item to to now have a sheath which is constructed with rivets instead of stitching. Please be aware that you may receive a sheath with riveted construction.

A modern gladius. Made for chopping and stabbing. Watch how you grab the grip, the guard is sharp on the inside and will cost you some skin if you don’t remove the sharp edges there. I think I will add an edge to part of the top and a blood groove in the sides.
