Very pleased with the overall quality of this sword. The ito is very tight, the tsuka, although thin, is comfortable in hand. The saya is very nice. The sword does “rattle” in the saya pretty loudly but it fits snug in the koiguchi where i do not have to worry about it falling out and it requires the typical push with the thumb to “unlock” the blade. One of the mekugi looks a bit misshapen on one side and I won’t know if that is a problem as it will be a while before use loosens things up to where I need to service it. Again, I am very pleased with the quality of this sword, especially for the price.

Just received thos sword and its a beauty. The blade comes very sharp and had great authority in the cut. I honestly am surprised more people arent giving positive reviews , as the fittings are simple but very nice for this price point.

I picked up this sword after watching several reviews of the Dojo-Pro range from Ronin Katana, and I have to say I’m more impressed than I expected.

The sword seems very well made, everything is tight and secure, the Saya is snug but with proper form doesn’t prohibit drawing the blade. I’ve been practicing Iaido forms with this piece since it arrived and it has been very enjoyable in use.

The sword also just cuts beautifully. It locks in the hands well, without being uncomfortable, and breezes through everything (water bottles, old sunflower stalks, cardboard) like it’s not there. The edge is very well done and looks like it will hold up well over time.

The Saya is well made and visually attractive, the entire piece feels appropriately subdued and understated, but there’s a lot of details if you examine the whole piece closely.

I’m a fan and intend to use this sword extensively for a long time.

The edge came paper-cutting sharp. In addition, the blade was heavily oiled and even seemed to leave a waxy residue each time I drew it. The Ito wrapping is OK but could’ve been tighter, I can still manage to slightly nudge the diamonds on the Tsuka and feel it budge during a couple of Iai movements. However, the Sageo is still thicker and of better quality than the cheap shoestring some swords have. Overall, the sword feels great to use and looks even better in person. I can definitely see this as a practical practioning sword.
