No mere display piece or wall hanger, this Fantasy inspired Greatsword is highly functional and its broad, sweeping blade ensures it is a supremely capable cutting sword! It was entirely made in the USA by Zach and Sonny Suttles of Valiant Armoury.

The blade is well-tempered 6150 high carbon steel with a finely honed edge and a final 52 HRc hardness. The sharp blade edges have appleseed geometry to ensure that they are damage resistant and durable. Before tempering the steel was normalized twice to homogenize its carbon content to create the conditions for precise tempering and an improved steel grain structure. The crossguard and pommel are antique finished steel and the wooden grip is tightly bound in black leather. A hot peened hilt assembly ensures a solid overall construction.

Valiant Armoury Warden of the North Greatsword Review: Game of Thrones Fantasy Sword Done Right

Guys, a magnificent sword, perfect materials and construction, it’s not one of the many stupid replicas of Ned Stark’s long sword… it’s an interpretation and reproduction of the Valiant that reminds you of Games of Thrones but gives you a beautiful, balanced and sharp sword that’s perfectly functional and excellent for cutting sessions… I recommend it to everyone. A hug from distant Italy and below is my review.
