The Knights Templar were a monastic military order formed at the end of the First Crusade with the mandate of protecting Christian pilgrims on route to the Holy Land, naming themselves ”The Knights of the Temple of Jerusalem.” This sword is a tribute to those famous warrior monks. The Albion Templar Sword (Oakeshott Type Xa) has a blade with little profile taper and a spade shaped point. The long and rather deep fuller, makes the sword rather light despite its impressive dimensions. The pommel is of Oakeshott type H, a thick disc with chamfered edges. The cross is of style 5: flat arms that flare in width at the ends. This combination of pommel and cross with a long and fairly broad blade makes for an absolutely classic sword.

The Albion Templar Sword features a sharpened high carbon steel blade heat-treated to a fine temper in the Albion Forge Shop. The grip is of stabilized birch, wrapped with cord and covered with the highest grade vegetable-tanned calfskin. The guard and pommel are solid steel.

    1. steffen

First Albion blade i got long before i could afford it but its still hanging on my wall and it most likely will for many decades to come.
Bit heavier than my other Arn blade but as with that one they dont dissapoint. beautifully made with no flaws or issues, sharp as a (razor) and it feels like something that any brothers 1000 years ago would love to carry.
Pricey but at least in my opinion worth it.
Note i don’t do any cutting myself so all my blades are more or less “museum” pieces that every visitor can touch and feel as they want.
great sword, huge cost but ey if you want an expensive blade it will be expensive
