Padded Chainmail Gauntlets – Butted – Mild Steel Zinc Plated Rings – Close Out – Lord of Battles

These mail gauntlets are crafted from a padded glove of canvas with natural padded cotton filler paired with a layer of chainmail sewn to the exterior of the glove. The underside of the hand has a sewn layer of robust leather sewn to protect the cotton glove from chafing from contact and use with weapons.

The chainmail is round, mild steel rings that have been butted into a linked mail mesh. The rings are of 16 gauge steel and are 8 mm in diameter.

Mail gauntlets impart protection for one of the warriors most important assets and provide a good finish for the chainmail kit of an early or high middle ages knight or professional combatant. Though intended for defense the mail-clad gauntlet could certainly impart a jaw-cracking steel edge to a punch if needed.
