The Cold Steel Dragonfly Katana features a razor sharp carbon steel blade with a unique half length bo-hi and a long ”iris leaf” point for maximum cutting and slashing potential. The grip is wrapped in a distinctive teal-green silk cord and black sam(ray skin) topped with a black iron tsuba bearing the dragonfly motif. The blade also features a more dramatic curve than many classic katanas. Includes a black lacquered wood scabbard and two sword bags. A blue travel bag and an intricately decorative display bag thats made from the finest heavy silk metallic brocade.

Please Note: This item tends to have a rather loosely wrapped grip and can suffer from minor dings in the saya. Cold Steel considers these things within their normal tolerances so we will no longer try to weed out these types of issues. They are so prevalent that we are finding it nearly impossible to get ones without these issues. We feel customers should know this about the product before purchasing so they can make informed choices. We will not be able to exchange items for these issues. Please keep this in mind when ordering this item.

Good sword… …but it has a few issues, mainly not the sword itself but the scabard.
      On the sword itself:
      1. The handguard is rattling a bit, nothing major
      2. it could be sharper.
      3. The oil they used is smelling bad and i had to clean it several times and oil it with better oil.

      On the scabard:
      1. the color of the scabard crumbles slowly of.
      2. the part that holds the ribbon on the scabbard broke of.
      3. it has minor damage on the part that conects to the blade.
      4. it looses small fibres of wood from the inside and sticks to the blad every time you unsheathe it.

Otherwise a beautiful sword (i really like the dragonfly theme) that is combat ready and a strong cutter.
