The design concept for the Heavy Sword Cane was to make a cane that offered significant orthopedic support, and be stylish enough so that it didn’t look like a stodgy piece of medical equipment. The result is a very appealing cane with an extra strong partial crook handle made from Grivory, with a black, aluminum shaft that’s 2mm thick and heat-treated for strength. The shaft is handsomely tapered and capped with a thick rubber ferrule for better traction on slick, icy sidewalks or uneven terrain. The concealed sword is easily released by a hard, quick tug on the handle to break the suction of its friction lock. It’s an extremely formidable sword too, made from 3CR13 stainless steel, a little over 24” in length and 5.5mm thick. It’s sturdy enough for both cutting and thrusting, with one long cutting edge, a strong sharp point, and a fully sharpened back edge. It’s more than enough to take down any attacker, and the heavy aluminum shaft of your cane makes a fine weak hand parrying weapon and a frightfully effective bludgeon in its own right.

Excellent! The blade came sharp, but I used an Extra Fine Diamond to sharpen it even more, especially both sides of the top 8″.
Since the cane was too tall for me as orthopedic support, I used a pipe cutter to cut the aluminum tube, then a single-edge blade (the kind for scraper knives) for the rubber tube. Perfect!
If you decide to shorten the cane, do note that although I tried, I cannot remove and reinstall the original thick rubber ferrule. (Just Google 1″ / 25mm ferules)

Excellent Service Update. I called and immediately service helped me to reinstall the original rubber ferrule.
I was told to use a heat gun. And to heat the aluminum (but NOT the rubber). It worked.
N.B. I also learned that the cane is not made locally, and regretfully service does not sell rubber ferrules.

Cold Steel Heavy Duty Sword Cane A truly worthy self defense weapon. A few packing peanuts down the sheath (to stop any give away rattling), i used a gun barrel cleaning rod to seat them at the bottom. And to make the draw easier, i removed one of the two synthetic gaskets, saving the second one as a spare in case the one on the handle should ever wear out. Now I have a quiet, much easier to draw self defense weapon that defies detection as well. Bon chance ,mon amies!
