This courtly Colichemarde sword has a blade forged from high carbon steel; the blade is a hollow V-shape – a form well-suited for thrusting and piercing. The hilt is of brass and the grip is polished wood with inlaid wire of twisted brass. The wood-core scabbard is bound in black leather and finished with brass fittings.

Surprisingly good! I bought this mainly for carrying at the Renaissance Fair, to which it did well. Not heavy or bulky. Classy but not super flashy or gaudy.

But I was pleasantly surprised given Deepeeka’s reputation for quality.

The Good: The fittings and handle adornments look good, not too plasticy, but not Christmas ornament shiny, a few finish irregularities. Blade flexes nicely, but is super rigid and thicker than expected. Deepeeka has a way of spatulating the tips of thier swords usually, making them impossible to thrust with. Not this one, super pointy well reinforced tip. Threaded hilt is suuuuper tight. Tightest theaded hilt I’ve ever used. No looseness after a few weeks of use.

The Bad: The throat of the scabbard wasn’t flush with the opening, so the sword would make a horrifying screech when drawn or sheathed. 5 minutes with a file sorted the issue. The blade is uh… wavy. Not in an easily overlooked way either, like, almost a subtle flamberge. But it doesn’t affect use at all really.

I almost want to give this sword a 4 just for value for money. But if you don’t have a means of fixing that awful screeching with the scabbard I could easily see someone giving this a 1 star review and hating it.

Overall very pleased. Handles nice too.

Surprising value for price. Adequately light and maneuverable with none of the sharp edges on the wire wrapped wood handle I was expecting. The ideal budget sword imo

Got a munitions version and honestly cannot find any fault! Great solid sword, does have a small issue with going into the sheath, but nothing major that cannot be easily fixed. Only reason I can find it being a munitions is minor issues on the scabbard, though most places would sell that easily as a regular item. Great buy as munitions! Very happy, for the quality and price it easily gets 5 stars, definitely will not hesitate on munition grade in the future.

Despite the brand not being that best I have him at the sword is not too bad obviously not the highest quality steel and a scabbard is so so and overall aesthetically it’s okay. That being said for the price of pretty dang good stabbing sword I tried it out as soon as I got it. Not bad definitely four out of five stars.

The grip was nicely fitted. Brass polished reasonably well. Scabbard fit okay. The blade had issues; a propeller twist in the first third of the blade about 3mm out of allignment. The blade was out of straight by 3mm as well.

I did not have any of the issues with the scabbard listed on prior reviews.
I immediately did notice that the sword was very heavy, it weighed out at 2 lbs 3 ounces.
Double the listed weight. Point of balance at 7 inches before the guard.
This is Not a light and nimble sword as it was intended to be by design.
None of the brass furniture at the hilt is aligned, but seems to have been sloppily wrought and mounted..
The size of the grip is another problem, as it’s so diminiative as to be usable only by a small woman or child, if… they can handle the weight.
