Based on an original found in the river Thames and currently housed in the Tower of London, the small cross design on the pommel of this sword seems to indicate it was associated with one of the crusading orders.
The Darksword Armory Templar Two Handed Sword features a 1060 high carbon steel blade with Rockwell hardness of 53. The guard and pommel are solid steel, while the long grip is made of wood with a brown leather wrap. Includes a wood scabbard with leather wrap and steel accents and a matching, integrated sword belt.

This is my first purchase from Kult of Athena but let me say I am impressed. Darksword armory has made an incredible product that is not only historically accurate, but also a fine blade. You really do get what you pay for with these swords. Kult of Athena also did an incredible job sharpening the sword and it cuts well without sacrificing durability. I am a taller fella at about 6’2″ so this sword may be too large for smaller frames folks but if you are looking for a crusader sword that you could fight zombies with then look no further. I am thoroughly impressed and I get downright giddy everytime I unsheath it. The scabbard is also made from quality leather and I enjoy the leather belt wrap that is integrated into it. This sword is definitely bang for your buck at 600 dollars. Honestly it could probably be worth more given the current markets. Overall, thank you darksword armory and Kult of Athena for giving me a family heirloom I’d be proud to pass down to my grandkids.
