A double-strap sword belt is a two-part belt that makes a sword scabbard part of the belt itself. This one is crafted from black leather and fitted with a steel ring-buckle.

This belt can be adjusted to be worn by either right or left handed swordsmen.
Please Note: Tunic, Sword and Scabbard are for demonstration purposes only and are not included.

Good quality, great value. Even though I do quite a bit of leather work, I got this sword belt because I have a lot of other projects lined up, and I didn’t want to spend time reinventing the wheel to design my own.

The leather is decent quality. It’s not as good as the veg tanned leather you can get from somewhere like Tandy, but it’s thick enough to hold up.

I think that the sew points of the loops are a potential weak point– I can already see the leather stretching around the stitches. If it break, s, I can repair it easily enough, or just use this belt as a pattern to make my own out of veg tan.

I’m not sure why LoB went with the ring instead of one of their inexpensive period buckles for this belt. I’ve replaced the ring with theBrass Plate Buckle with Clover inset and it looks really good.

Overall, though, this is a very good piece of equipment for the money. I really like the design and it holds my scabbard securely and in a good position.

4 stars for the belt, 5 stars for KoA’s customer service and quick shipping.
