This set of knee armor is well-articulated and is constructed from plates of 16 gauge steel with sturdy swivel rivets. The armor consists of knee-protecting poleyns, side fan plates and several other moving plate lames which give additional protection to the leg both above and below the knee.

The armor is donned and adjusted to fit with a set of three straps of thick leather matched to sturdy steel buckles. The interior of the armor is blackened.

Please Note: Only the set of knee armor is included. All other accessories seen in photos are for demonstration purposes only and are available separately.

Good construction and the articulation works really well. The only issue I’ve had is keeping them in place as they slip down pretty quickly. If you have skinny legs like me you’ll likely need to modify them to keep them from slipping down around your calf.

Excellent construction, well-articulated and I like the projections. Seems very one-size-fits-all (if a tad on the large side) and the three straps to secure it are much appreciated. Do note that this does NOT come with any interior padding; you will need to wear something thick under your pants to make it fit the knee better and protect against blunt force, like sports knee pads.

    3. Thomas (verified owner)

They are good and well articulated, however they tend to be heavy and despite the three straps, they slip off relatively easily. I’ve had to adjust them by bending the metal until they are better shaped to my legs, and even then they still tend to slip

Another issue I’ve had with them is that the bottom plate systematically digs into my shin. I’ve had to modify them again by hammering the little “spike” at the bottom outwards so it doesn’t dig into my shin.

Overall a good product, but has its flaws
