I had recently purchased this sword for sparring/ training purposes. The blade of the actual sword is quite tough, being able to take a whole session of sparring without any major damage to the edge. In terms of fit and finish, that’s where it gets a little disappointing. When I received mine, the blade itself had an ever so slight warp as it begins to taper and you can still see multiple places where the marks from the hammer as it was forged into shape were not smoothed out at all. This was a pretty easy fix by just putting it in a straightener after heated a little bit. This isn’t a huge deal since the purpose I bought it for was going to scar the blade anyways. Long story short, if you’re going to try to get a simple, no nonsense sword for use, it’s a fine sword for the cost, but if you’re looking for a show piece, look elsewhere.

Great sword! I bought this sword for a gift and I also got it sharpened just for extra fun. It is heavier than I expected, but I feel it makes it more bad ass. The pictures don’t do this sword justice! It is a great sword for the price.

This sword is damn cool. If you’re an expert you might find things wrong with it, but if you simply enjoy swords like myself there is no feeling like when it finally comes in and you hold this beauty in your hands. It IS forward heavy with its 6 1/2 p.o.b but it isn’t unwieldly. For the price this sword is great and it has a lot of personality to it.

I am giving this a five star review this the price heavily in mind. This sword is large and beefy, just what you’re most likely looking for if it caught your eye. In your hands it feels just a tad heavy and forward but nothing to really complain about. The sword feels tight although the blade is a tad wobbly but feels good enough. Finally while looking at the blade you can see many imperfections in the blade but at this price it can’t be beat.

Great sword overall. Great balancing for a combination of slashes and thrusts. A few imperfections on the quillons I had to get out, still pretty solid. The edge isn’t amazingly sharp, so I’ll have to hone it a bit. Very very slight twist of the blade towards the tip, but I only noticed when I was staring down the edge of the blade with one eye closed. Very much worth its price. When I first pulled it out of the box and started swinging it like a lunatic I felt like a little kid again.
