This Katana takes its namesake from the Cakra, the precious “wheel jewel” of Buddhism and the first of the “seven jewels of the universal monarchs” and a sign of the Enlightened Ruler. The tsuba of this katana is in the wheel-like form of the Dharma Chakra and a powerful symbol of Buddhism and the path to Enlightenment. All of these are powerful symbols to a Buddhist Samurai or a Sōhei warrior monk.

This Musashi Katana has a blade forged from 1060 high carbon steel which was clay-tempered in the traditional manner to endow the blade with an edge of hardened steel and a softer shock absorbing spine and body. The process also leaves a vibrant wave-like hamon along the blade edge. The tsuba guard, fuchi blade collar and kashira pommel cap are blackened antiqued brass with detailing picked out in bold gold color. The habaki and seppa are crafted from bright brass and the wooden grip is inlaid with panels of genuine rayskin. A knotted black cotton tsuka-ito cord completes the sword.

The sword comes with a wooden saya scabbard with a glossy black lacquer finish and a matching black sageo cord. Also included is a cloth sword bag and a serialized production certificate from the forge.

What a sweet price for a sweet azz katana. Absolutely love the Dharma Wheel tsuba, just a perfect touch!!! Also about that price i was so happy to find this $60 cheaper than karatemart which is where I first seen this musashi model yet they advertised as “full tang battle read katana” for $199🤔🙄 did a reverse image search and here we are. Thank you KoA for keeping it as real as possible.

Absolutely beautiful katana. Everything from the pommel to the tip is a work of art, especially at this price. I didn’t add sharpening but it easily pierced the box it came in, so plenty sharp for my form practice needs. Thanks for the sword!
