Roman Wool Paenula – Black

No Roman Legionary would leave for campaign without a Paenula; both on the road and in camp he spent much of his time exposed to the elements and a good, woolen cloak was necessary to give him and his gear some protection from the rain and damp conditions and to keep him warm on cool nights and in colder climates.

This cloak from La Wrens Nest is complete with a hood – it is made from tightly woven melton wool.
