This Scottish Claymore Greatsword has a large blade forged from high carbon steel; the handcrafted crossguard and pommel are crafted from steel and the grip is polished and stained hardwood.

With its large, sweeping blade the brutal capabilities of the Scottish Claymore are tempered by its distinctive and attractive hilt style with quatrefoil quillons. More than a handsome accoutrement, the long, forward-sloping crossguard gives very good protection the hand whilst acting as a pivot point in a bind. Greatswords such as this remained a popular weapon of the Highlanders well into the 16th century.

Nice. Just received this weapon in the mail, and I couldn’t be more pleased. The design is simple, but balanced and elegant, and the blade itself handles like a dream. The weight is a little up there, but that’s to be expected of a claymore, and you can still – if you have the strength – move the weapon rapidly as needed. All told, for the price, this is a great buy.

The Best for the price asked: The blade and handle have some slight imperfections that give it a handmade look, but the slight gap between the blade and crossguard is less than perfect. Still, you can’t beat the price for a carbon steel, full tang claymore.

just one problem just received this sword and at first sight its awesome but then I noticed that at some point in the tang is slightly bent making the whole blade shift to one side very disappointing.

My old review is up as joe b. My current thoughts on my purchase are not so humble that bend in the tang is absolutely infuriating sets the whole blade off so nothing is centered there are Hammer marks all over the blade the grind is awful along the base of the blade I honestly can’t tell if straightening the tang will actually fix the blade angle and if it does I’m sure I’ll have to do some grinding to make everything fit the way it’s supposed to the only redeeming quality is the steel is good as are the pommel and the guard is not bad. Over all this is not battle ready and whoever made this sword should be ashamed to call them self a blacksmith. Can’t even make your sword strait

The price seems too good to be true, because it is. I wish I could upload pictures with this review, because this sword is junk. There’s about a quarter inch gap between the crossguard and the blade, and a similar gap between the cusp of the crossguard and the blade. The quatrefoils on the end of the crossguard have visible tooling marks and sharp edges. I’m exchanging it for a hopefully higher quality sword, but I’m still out $75 for shipping it back to them.
