Sikhism is the worlds fifth largest religion and its members are required to carry a Kirpan – a sword or dagger at all times. This companion blade to a Sikh is one of the five Articles of Faith which one bears as testimony to their devotion to Sikhism and the bearing of the Kripan blade reinforces the duty of a Sikh to protect the weak, to uphold justice and to live of life of compassion and generosity in service of humanity.

This light quick handling blade is a nicely done low cost blade. I chose to leave it unsharpened to practice quick handling with my other unsharpened short swords. It has had some blade on blade contact, nothing extreme like heavy blows, but light sparring/parry practice. Seems fairly durable for such a great price.

It’s a really nice sword. I got the unsharpened one, and sharpened it myself, and it cuts pretty well. The handling is very good. It’s an incredibly nimble sword and doesn’t miss out on strength, either. My only complaint is that the scabbard causes the blade to dull, which is annoying. Maybe I’m doing something wrong with it?
