    1. Ivan the HEMA addict

Good for display Wile it looks nice, in a rustic kind of way. It is very dangerous. A light hit to my leg, and by light, I mean I was trying to see its effects for stage combat safety, it make me unable to correctly walk the rest of the day.

It is also very unnjoyable to hold, the poorly made handle comes with rust, and the wire digs into your hand, not to mention the sand paper leather that is used. I’ve given mine a yarn wrap, it’s far better than what it came with.

Do not hit anybody with this sword, it will break bones.

Just no Where to begin? For starters, at 26 inches this thing is stupidly heavy and feels like holding a particularly unwieldy crowbar. As Ivan said earlier it’s very uncomfortable to hold and poorly made. From a historic perspective it’s laughably inaccurate in both handling and design. For just a few dollars more the Hanwei Practical Viking Sword – SH2047 is better in every way and I say that through experience in handling both. The Hanwei is categorically superior in every respect excepting perhaps durability and even then the Hanwei is still a durable stage blade.
