This Turkish Mace is a robust mace crafted from steel and finished with a stitched leather grip and a leather wrist-retention strap. Although named a Turkish mace, maces similar to this simple, but effective form could be found throughout Eastern Europe, the Middle East and India.

This mace is a solid striking weapon capable of crushing armor with concussive force – it cleverly resists the urge to mount a oversized and overly heavy mace head in favor of striking velocity – coupled with a solid spherical head this gives the mace more than enough mass needed to fill its role quite ably.

Please Note: While all-steel maces are sturdy they are not indestructible. They were designed for striking targets softer and less dense than the mace – namely warriors wearing steel armor which was considerably thinner than the mace flanges. Bashing a steel mace onto concrete roads, dense trees and wood beams, cinder blocks, I-beams and other hard or dense targets may result in bending the steel mace, damaging its flanges or causing other damage.

Great for the price! This mace seems to be a stout piece of metal that is not too heavy to use. The handle is a bit narrow for my grip and the strap is merely glued to the mace and comes off in seconds of use. But the mace itself is fully functional and is probably more battle ready and effective than anything else you could purchase for 33 dolars.

My Absolute Favorite Training Weapon! I was looking for a solid but at the same time rather lightweight pair of maces to practice my double melon hammer form, and these were absolutely PERFECT ;) The arrived super quickly, in a thick, discreet box with secure packing inside (not to mention I received really personable customer service from KOA when ordering 2). Both maces were made of high- quality, rust- free blued steel and the handles were very sturdily attached, looking quite attractive in a deep chestnut brown with nice, tight stitching and sweet functional wrist straps. The balance of these maces are simply unparalleled, even better than my stainless steel wushu practice pair imho. These are really what real maces on the battlefield would’ve felt like! Initial “melon baller” testing on actual watermelons was most optimal lol, The demure mace heads actually pack quite a wallop behind them due to the leverage of the long grip plus the additional whippiness of the thin tapered handle which was a joy to manipulate even at close to 2 lb. each weapon swung at loads of foodstuffs for hours. All in all a really solid practice aid for some serious gongfu (as well as the occasional easy- peasy fruit salad hehe)

This is one of the best values available in the military historical reproductions market. It is completely authentic in look, feel, balance, and effectiveness. Often referred to as “the helm crusher”, that is precisely what this mace can do with frightening efficiency. If you really want to hold history in your hand without breaking the bank, then this is the weapon for you.

Amazing value for the price! Looks very good and is rock solid. Recommended.

This is an excellent weapon, solid but light enough to be wieldy. Very good price. Handy for quick and bloodless animal dispatch.

I just received this mace in the mail today, it is my first purchase from this site and I wanted to say that I am extremely happy with it. Its hefty but light enough to swing with one arm, one big solid piece of metal with a heavy and simple head. I feel like if you hit someone with this just about anywhere you’d break bone. Absolutely love it, thank you KultofAthena I look forward to purchasing a shield to accompany this mace and who knows what other cool stuff in the future.

10/26/2024, Got my “Turkish” Mace (Deepeka actually refers to this as a Mace on their website and on this maces packaging as well”

It definitely is very similar to historic maces in eastern europe, byzantine empire, turkey and india and thats cool.

It is also very functional, I would not want to get hit by this mace, it appears very strong all steel not hollow.

The leather grip-wrap and loop are nice additions that more expensive maces don’t have.

Compared to my cold steel “Chinese Mace” that retails for 100 most places online plus 20ish shipping I like this mace much more.

If someone could only afford one battle ready medieval weapon for costumes/renaissance faires/re-enacting/even defense I’d say go for this MACE. :)
