This Viking folding knife has a handle of hand-carved bone with a swivel-mounted blade of mild steel. Historic examples of early utility folding knives have been recovered from York (Viking Jorvik), London, Canterbury and Novgorod. These were probably crafting knives designed for working with leather or bone.

Please Note: The bone handle is organic and natural material and can vary in size and width.

flimsy beautiful to look at, but it came to me already loose and won’t stay in the fixed open position. would not recommend for anything other than looks.

Great for the money! You’re not going get a better viking knife for 15 bucks. What’s shown in the pics is exactly what you get. There is no wiggle where the blade is attached to the handle, which was nice. Assuming it eventually loosens up, all you’d have to do is peen the pin a little to tighten the fit.

However, I would highly recommend paying for the sharpening service. I didn’t– the blade edge is at least 1mm thick. I’m going to have to take it to the grinder. THat being said, I’m 100% happy with it ans (as always) KoA’s fast shipping.

I got this as a cheap gift idea and put it in Christmas stockings. I don’t think this is real bone, however it looks pretty good. Everything seems tight, blade took an edge. Doesn’t seem like it will break through normal use.
