Closeout – One costmetic blemished sword left.

The Imperial Guard Scout Officers Sword crafted by Weapon Edge sword has a tempered blade of 1095 high carbon steel. The sword is imbued with blue-and-gilt in the first third of the blade – a lavish decoration popular by the officers who could afford it in the Napoleonic age. The hilt with knuckle-bar is of robust brass and the grip is blackened wood with a cross-hatched design for an improved grip.

The sword is paired with a scabbard of brass with brass hanging rings and a steel flange to protect the tip.

This is a replica of a saber used by the Éclaireurs – the scouts of the Imperial Guard – they were founded following Napoleons reorganization of the Imperial Guard after the unsuccessful campaign in Russia.
