Good for the Price I had purchased this rapier a few weeks ago. Upon initial inspection, I discovered that the balance is (in my opinion) OK. To my limited experience, a rapier should carry a little more weight in the handle (for easy point control). The sword was balanced almost exactly at the guard (blade:handle 50/50 weight distribution). With this in mind, point control is relatively easy.

There are a few minor nicks in the guard and the mouth of the sheath.

The blade came with a little bit (what appears to be) rust (since I could not wipe it off).

I had also purchased the sharpening service for it, which it appears that it had not done too much for it (doing a simple paper-cut test). However, I do keep in mind that rapiers where primarily for duels in which stabs were the decisive factors for victory (so I am not very disappointed in the edsg-sharpening results).

I had also read online reviews of swords from Deepeeka from other sites, stating that Deepeka is a hit-or-miss when it comes to consistent quality of their swords. It appears that I have been lucky with a more satisfactory production.

I do look forward into testing it with more tests everybody else does (water bottles and cardboard boxes).
