One of the most devastating swords of all time, the inward curve of the falcata’s blade delivers a tremendous blow capable of splitting shield and helmet a like. The Falcata was used to great effect against the Romans by Spanish Mercenaries under Hannibal in the second Punic War. This version features a high carbon steel blade and a solid brass handle. Includes a leather scabbard.

Wonderful I bought this sword on a different site and it became available on this one immediately afterward. (or, rather, back from being discontinued) I love this design of this sword. As to whether or not it’s historically accurate, it’s difficult to say but it seems so. Obviously the weight is a bit much on this sword. It’s more like swinging a one handed ax than a sword. Not that this is a problem, it’s a great workout to swing around. I love the brass handle but I do wish the decoration went across the entirety for extra grip. The brass is super smooth so it feels really nice but if you get sweaty hands like me you might want some gloves. The sheath is good but there is one issue I’ve noticed. If you like to take the blade out a lot the sheath makes oil come off quickly. I got this sword sharpened and no, it isn’t razor sharp but something with this much weight shouldn’t be. Like I said, I bought this on a different site but this is the site I always go to so I figured I’d leave my review here.

Great looking, But I may have gotten a dud. I got this sharpened from KultofAthena about 3 or 4 days ago. When I first got it, me and my friend were very excited to start practice cutting. As this was my first sword, I went off memory of someone I watched, but made sure to only hit the bottles. However the blade is already slightly loose, and makes a jiggling sound when I wiggle it. The blade is peened, so I’m not entirely sure how to fix this. I love the look and design, but was dissappointed that it seemed rather fragile.

Beautiful sword I saw this sword and just had to have it, so when I received my order I was excited to unbox it and check it out. It’s got weight to it which is expected but it’s well balanced so its not point heavy. I haven’t tested the sword yet so I can’t say how it preforms. All in all it’s a beautiful sword and I’m very happy I purchased it.
